Ultramedic Medical Device Recruitment

Ultramedic is a private British company established in Liverpool in 1986 and currently employs sixteen staff. We design and manufacture test devices for medical equipment and provide technical and service support to UK customers and to overseas dealers.

Quality Assurance

Management and technical processes are performed according to documented procedures according to ISO9000:2000 and ISO13485:2003.Our quality system is audited twice a year by British Standards Institute (registration number FM 40213).

Technical Services

Ultramedic has an excellent service department that provides a rapid turnaround for calibration & service. We have full calibration facilities for all products, and aim to provide complete support to our customers. In particular, in the UK we expect to provide local technical service for all equipment, irrespective of its country of origin. Staff have been trained in the United States, France and Holland.  Ultramedic is an approved service centre for Fluke Biomedical Corporation.

Sales and Marketing

We have an impressive Sales and Marketing Department. Our main customers in the UK are hospitals and medical equipment suppliers. Overseas we sell through dealers. We have close links with the scientific and technical organisations concerned with Medical Equipment Technology in the UK, and we attend many exhibitions and seminars to provide our customers with the latest information on our products and services. Ultramedic has had a large share of the medical test equipment market in the UK for many years and the majority of hospitals have a range of our test equipment. We support our products sold overseas by assisting dealers with training, exhibitions, and regional sales meetings in the USA and throughout the rest of the world.

Research and Development

Our Research and Development team provides us with the design and development of new equipment and software in the medical electronic field. We see this as an important resource in the total support of both our own products and those bought in for resale. The R & D team is meeting the needs of the increasingly complex regulatory framework relating to medical equipment.

Manufacturing

Manufacturing facilities have recently been expanded and improved, with the introduction of computerised production planning and stock control. Most production processes, testing and calibrations are performed in-house.

Currently we manufacture:

  • The single channel IDA-2Plus/Infusion Device Analyzer.
  • The multi channel IDA-4Plus can test 1,2,3, or 4 infusion devices simultaneously. This has a complementary PC programme for control from a computer.
  • The External Pacemaker Tester PMA-1.

Plans for the future

Our corporate strategy is to retain and extend our position as a leading UK supplier of a comprehensive range of test equipment for medical devices, by introducing new products and further developing our technical services.

Many companies, who profess an ability to help with your recruitment processes, will cite their large, high quality network of industry specific contacts as a reason for their differentiation from competitors.

Ultimately however, for all the size and supposed qualities of respective networks, the only relevant detail for a hiring company is how that network translates into a successful employee joining them.

At Guided Solutions we embrace technology to maintain industry links, we understand however, that a network that delivers unique results has its roots in traditional relationship building and the insights these connections yield.
