Boston Scientific Medical Device Recruitment

Boston Scientific was founded on the simple premise that less-invasive medicine could improve patient care. They have remained committed to this promise since their founding three decades ago. Today they are a leading innovator of medical devices and technologies that improve patient lives.

They are a worldwide developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices that are used in a broad range for interventional medical specialties.

Boston Scientific is dedicated to transforming lives through innovative medical solutions that improve the health of patients around the world.

History

In 1969, fascinated by the possibility of bringing pioneering medical devices and treatments to patients across the world, John Abele joined Medi-Tech, a company that was developing alternatives to traditional surgery. Pete Nicholas was looking for an investment, and when he met John, the pieces came together. Medi-Tech's first products, steerable catheters, were introduced that year, and used in some of the earliest less-invasive procedures. This was the beginning of Boston Scientific as we know it today.

The Business

From its humble beginnings in a small laboratory in Massachusetts, Boston Scientific has grown and then honed its core to 24,000 people world-wide, carrying the passion and commitment of the founders.

They are now delivering a broad portfolio of innovative medical solutions worldwide through their core businesses:

  • Interventional Cardiology
  • Cardiac Rhythm Management
  • Electrophysiology

Many companies, who profess an ability to help with your recruitment processes, will cite their large, high quality network of industry specific contacts as a reason for their differentiation from competitors.

Ultimately however, for all the size and supposed qualities of respective networks, the only relevant detail for a hiring company is how that network translates into a successful employee joining them.

At Guided Solutions we embrace technology to maintain industry links, we understand however, that a network that delivers unique results has its roots in traditional relationship building and the insights these connections yield.
